About Me

Crafts have always been a part of my life, including knitting,  sewing, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch,quilting and beading – even knitting with beads.  My greatest love, however, is teaching  ... teaching crafts, of course.  What I know, I want to share with  others who enjoy being creative and working in color. What I don't know, I seek to learn from other teachers and from my students,  who have taught me many things in many ways.  And mostly, I  love to laugh and share the joy of creativity with everyone I meet.

I live in Portland, OR and teach knitting, crochet and beadwork in  several venues, including Bead Happy in Oregon City and at  Michaels Craft Stores, where I once did a fun team-building class for  the office staff of a local Subaru dealership.  I have done private lessons and craft class parties in homes, clubs and  churches. Check out my website - www.joyfulthreads.com - for more information and photos of class offerings and project ideas.
